A repayment plan is an agreement between you and your creditors, your trustee, and us. You will make payments to your creditors or the trustee that will be supervised by the court. These payments will be used to pay off your debts in a reasonable amount of time.

Before you can file for a repayment plan, you must file for bankruptcy. Once you file, you will receive a notice from the court that explains when your 341 meeting of creditors will be. At that meeting, you will create a repayment plan with your trustee, creditors, and us.

The plan will detail how much you will pay each month and when you will pay it. Your creditors and the trustee will have to approve the plan. Once you have a repayment plan, you will be able to get back on your feet and start rebuilding your credit.
